Tom has been active in retail, office and investment real estate since 1967 and has been involved in the development of more than 500,000 square feet of retail properties. In addition, Tom has participated in the purchase/sale of more than $1 billion of real estate and has arranged financing for more than $750 million worth of properties.
Tom served as Executive Chairman of Gershman Commercial Real Estate from 2013 until October 2022 when he became Chairman Emeritus in recognition of his 50 years of distinguished service to the company.
His current focus is overseeing the asset management services across the portfolio of retail and office properties owned by the Gershman family in the St. Louis region.
