Dave joined Gershman Commercial as a Maintenance Engineer in 2002 and was promoted to Supervisor in 2019.  He oversees a mixed-use portfolio and helps with the staffing and training of the maintenance department.  Dave works hand in hand with the property managers to create budgets, capital improvements and obtain the bids to perform the work.  He is EPA certified, and in addition to the day to day operations, he implements a property management program throughout Gershman’s managed properties.

Dave has over 28 years of experience with all aspects of maintenance including residential, retail and commercial office buildings.  He became HVAC certified at the age of 20 and started working in apartments as a maintenance technician, where he ended up in charge of 500 residential units with a staff of 3 maintenance technicians, a cleaning crew and groundskeeping crew under his supervision.

He then worked for the State of Missouri as an HVAC Interments Control Technician for 8 years and obtained his certification in compressed air systems, water treatment for open and closed loop systems, and boiler operations.  Dave also became familiar with all types of EMS systems and was in charge of installing and running new HVAC systems in new and old buildings.
