Jim has been active in the commercial real estate industry since 2000 and is a trusted advisor to both occupiers and owners of commercial property throughout the St. Louis region. Over the course of his career, he has completed hundreds of transactions, representing clients ranging from local businesses to national corporations.

Jim specializes in the office market, helping clients navigate real estate projects including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and overall portfolio strategy. His approach is straightforward and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering results.

He holds both the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designations, two of the most respected credentials in the commercial real estate industry, and is consistently recognized as a top-performing broker in St. Louis.

Prior to joining Gershman Commercial Real Estate in 2019, Jim spent over 12 years with Gateway Commercial and Colliers International, following Colliers’ acquisition of Gateway in 2015, where he built a strong foundation in office brokerage.

Jim has been actively involved in industry leadership throughout his career. He served on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis CCIM Chapter for 10 years, including a term as Chapter President. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the St. Louis SIOR Chapter and served as Chapter President in 2025.

Jim lives in Des Peres with his wife and two children and remains actively involved in their activities and the local community.
