As Managing Partner, Chris is responsible for  leading new business  development initiatives across all services lines, as well as oversight of the of the firms brokerage,  transaction and advisory services business .  In this role, he identifies opportunities to expand service offerings, maintains strong relationships with clients and business/community leaders and assists investor clients with property valuations, dispositions and acquisitions.   He also serves as a managing member of the firm’s ownership group.

Chris joined Gershman Commercial Real Estate in 2013 as Executive Vice President of Transactions and Advisory Services. While at Gershman, he has led the acquisition of over $172 million of investment property and the disposition of $69 million.  In 2019, he was elevated to President and CEO and in 2022 he led the acquisition of the company from the Gershman family.

Chris’ commercial real estate career began in 1992 as a property manager for Bakewell Corporation, a local development company.  He then joined Cushman & Wakefield’s St. Louis office in 1998 and was elevated to Managing Director in 2004.  Chris played an instrumental role in the creation of Gateway Commercial in 2005 where he served as a Partner and Managing Director. Gateway operated as an independently owned firm and member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance. His professional experience includes property management, lease negotiation, occupier advisory services, landlord representation and investment sales of single commercial properties and portfolios exceeding 500,000 sq. ft.
